Prayer is not something “we do,” rather, we believe it is “who we are in Him.” Prayer is our response to God’s invitation to spend time with Him and get to know Him and ALL of His glory. As believers in Jesus, we have been invited into a loving relationship with God. This relationship is the first priority of intercession. The goal of prayer is God – to be intimate with Him; to radically and gloriously encounter Him; to know Him better and love Him more. Intercession flows from Him.
The heartbeat of the Prayer Ministry at The Vine is “Fostering a consistent and deepening dialogue with God.” We believe that being fully engaged in the 3 Loves is demonstrated daily through our Prayer Ministry. We believe ALL things begin with God – even prayer. As we pray, we are responding to His invitation to us “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)
