Starting January 2016, we will offer several Bible Study classes in the morning and evening. These studies range from reading through books in the Bible to video studies and other topics of interest for women in all stages of life.
Morning Classes: 9:30 – 11:30 Childcare Provided
The Person of Jesus – Paul Miller
This a great study looking at the very characteristics of JESUS, compassion, honesty, power and humility. He was love personified. How did He do it? How can we learn to love like Him? This study invites you to get to know Jesus, to observe His life and His love as they unfold in the Gospel narratives. The format is interactive; there is no workbook or required homework. All study is done in class using your Bible.
Seven Realities for Experiencing God – Henry and Richard Blackaby
Too often Christians genuinely wonder and even worry about how to know and do the will of God. We need to remember that Christians can enjoy a love relationship with God. He invites ordinary people to experience Him in extraordinary ways. The format is small group discussion with a small amount of homework.
The Gospel of John and The Letters of John
This study will not only delve deep into the book of John but will hopefully cultivate a desire for women to want to know, read and study the Word of God more and more. Come with an open mind, willingness to participate and a strong, growing desire to wanting to read God’s word. All that’s needed is your Bible and a journal. Format is small group discussion.
The Explicit Gospel – Matt Chandler
This study looks very closely at what the Gospel IS and what it IS NOT.
Discover what the gospel does for believers after salvation and shatter your preconceptions to reveal unexplored dimensions of God’s grace.
Be challenged to embrace and rely on the gospel, to grow in Christlikeness, persevere in your faith, serve others in the power of Jesus and CELEBRATE your eternal redemption. This study’s format is video driven with homework and small group discussion.
Evening Classes: 7:00 – 9:00 pm – No childcare Provided
The Amazing Collection – Big Dream Ministries
A study of the entire Bible for women, book by book. This study is excellent for women at all stages of their Bible knowledge, because you get both the BIG PICTURE and new truths of scripture each week. You will read and study a different book each week! You can do it! The format is video driven with homework and small group discussion.
Recovering Redemption: How Christ Changes Everything
– Matt Chandler
In this Bible study, Matt Chandler gets to the root of brokenness and our destructive patterns of behavior. With relentless grace, Matt unpacks true repentance and the doctrines of justification, adoption, and sanctification with remarkably practical application. The format is video driven with homework and small group discussion.
Girls’ Night In
This casual gathering will occur February 11 at 7 pm with Debbie Smith discussing all things about Teenagers. This will be a great evening of talking about our teenagers and the current issues/struggles they are facing. Girl’s Night In is a social and relational gathering that allows women to meet newcomers, or reconnect with someone they may not get to see every Sunday. All women are welcomed to come so please invite your friends and neighbors.
If you enjoy demonstrating your love of others through cooking, our Meals Ministry is another great way to “love the community” through Women’s Ministry. The Meals Ministry prepares meals in advance or as needed to deliver to Vine families who are dealing with a family member’s illness, a death in the family, or just needing to be loved on. If you would like to serve in this capacity, please contact Kari Fredrick at email@example.com for more information or sign up online.
Our Catering and Hospitality Ministry is an amazing area where we can “love on each other” as this important ministry oftentimes serves as the cornerstone for corporate church gatherings. From getting the coffee ready for Women’s Bible Study, to planning, preparing and serving meals for our leadership or Elder meetings, this ministry is a perfect fit for women with the gift of hospitality and a love of serving. If you would like more information on how to get involved with the Catering and Hospitality Ministry Team, please email Ioli Airy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
